Again I ask.......... Dirty, Whats your point. We know your opinion. Don't you get it? Your alone in your point of view. Don't you feel like a looser irritating everyone when it is very rare that you get a person to agree with you.

I hope that New Mexico team "gets this handled", if you know what I mean. It would be a shame to brand all of them as thieves

I agree with Wagons 1st. post. If we are still playing at our age, we deserve to "feel good" about still being able to put it out. Why the penalty. At least let the TRUE aa players hit away. If anything, restrict only the M and M+ divisions. Just because these guys can do it at every at bat doesn't mean us that can't should be punished. {This is NOT meant meant to be a disparaging comment directed toward you M and M+ guys, but I know I speak for the majority of us that are LUCKY enough to put ANY ball over the fence.]

Discussion: Host Hotel Surcharge

This thread is one that is truely worth a discussion.
Basically we are all being told that unless we stay at a "kickback" hotel we have to pay a premium to play. This is a PR nightmare for SSUSA and is a total ripoff for us players. Does SSUSA REALLY think that we believe a cities hosting bid is based on us staying at a particular hotel? Baloney, players staying at ANY hotel are still bringing in $ to that particular city. City officials don't care where we stay. The city coffers benefit from us staying anywhere! The bottom line here is that we all got smarter after realizing the "host hotel" rate could simply be beat by calling that SAME hotel and ALWAYS getting a better AARP or AAA rate. Nobody was doing us a favor by "recommending" that hotel. Plain and simple, it was costing us more. Before I retired, my company had many nationwide meetings and would negotiate a hotel rate that was ALWAYS beneficial for both the employer AND the employee. I'm sure my employer got a rebate for us staying at that particular hotel but the rate was always CHEAPER NOT MORE EXPENSIVE.
We are being held hostage here and the only way of stopping this blackmail is to stop going to these tournaments, which would be a real shame and certainly NOT what SSUSA wants. This policy even becomes more upsetting when we are not in need of ANY lodging [ie: staying with friends or relatives or better yet WE LIVE IN THE CITY HOSTING THE TOURNAMENT}.
