Sept. 1, 2008 F.O.G. | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Jobbed? Rule Bending? Honor? Sportsmanship? or Cheating? I wouldn't think that LVSSA's rules are much different than SSUSA's. I can tell you after managing at 2 world tournies and many local tournies that I would have never agreed to anything on the side that went against the rule book nor would I have let that situation go down the way it did. When in doubt, read the rule book. |
Aug. 30, 2008 F.O.G. | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: 40 and over phoenix worlds The sentiment is that these players are paid to play...and yes....on most days they are that good...I've played with and against many of them. However, I would not consider missing a tournament because I thought I had no chance of winning. I agree that the rules are in place for a reason. This conversation needs to take place with the people who can do something about it. BTW-I was under the impression that the 40 division consists of Uppers and Lowers...anyone know? |
