We would like to take this opportunity to say how much we greatly appreciate your very generous donation to the Nicky Bird fund. Believe us; your team’s generosity will go a long way to help off set the mounting medical bills that Nicky and his wife Cathy are currently encountering. The costs of many hours of Nick’s rehabilitation will be great, but not as big as your team’s heart and kindness. For a team with such talented players and tough competitors, your big heartedness is respected and well received by Nick and his Wife Cathy. | May 29, 2009 Joe D. | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: nicky bird The news just keeps getting better and better.I saw Nicky today and he looks better than ever. It truly is just amazing how far he has come in the last 1-1/2 weeks. He is working very hard now walking. He walked half way across the floor he is on with a walker. He is starting to get some strength in his arms. He is very aware of what is going on around him. He recognizes everybody that is coming in. The best of all the birdy smile { smirk } is there pretty much most of the time. I'm sure it has a lot to do with everyone's support and prayers. Keep it up everyone. Thanks Jimmy O |
