Easy, Big League Dream is the best and Shadow Rock is the worst. All the rest follow in between.

one or the other not both at that age bracket, once you hit 65 could be both depending on which association your playing with.

Discussion: Second Home plate for National Tourneys

As a league we decided to go to the line for safety reasons, on Saturday we start at 9 AM and with a little dampness(dew mostly) that extra plate can get real dangerous for a runner trying to score when you can't slide and you hit that slick plate bad things happen. I've never seen anyone slip on a line but a plate yes.

Discussion: 50 MAJOR & MAJOR PLUS COMBINED

Sounds like NCSSA is using the same format that FHC has been using for 25 plus years. Played in it for over 5 years and it works great, helps to have over 180 plus teams to do with. Wish we had the number of teams that Nor Cal and Florida have here in Texas to make it work, but we are to far spread apart to make Texas half century work the same way.

Discussion: TOC follow up

Mad Dog, SSUSA has 22 tournaments that are TOC qualifier, times 8 age groups, times 4 divisions just in the men's giving you over 500 teams that qualified, yes some multiple times and sometimes not all age groups had teams but, my guess that at least 400 teams could go but only 115(not all men's teams) did, why??? timing being the biggest reason but it is still a must go to Tournament if you get the chance. I'm hoping to get to go again next year.

SA player, check sports for life San Antonio for more past info and results. Not bad for a local tournament not many outside teams to during a non-qualification years which this is. Play at Kennedy sport complex but I'll let other give their opinion because I help run the softball and didn't want to give you just one side. Most teams in SASSL have a history with the games. Will either be a one or two day depending on number of teams, round robin most time with min 3 max 5 games.

Omar, I would like to know were you saw a report that Texas has a decline in players. We have as many if not more teams in every division with the exception of the 60 division. The number of 65 teams have almost doubled with the 60's moving up. Biggest problem we have is to many associations trying to run a tourney every week. We have SSUSA,SPA,NSA,ASA,SSA and senior games which doesn't count them all or any local run ones. SSUSA maybe down but not due to number of players but teams playing another association.

Discussion: Senior Softball League

The question that CK should have asked is how do you get a league that is over 15 years old to change to a draft league when over 75% of the league likes it the way it is????Suggestion is the board should force the issue but as a board member I feel that it is my reponsibilty to give the members what they want and is still best for the overall league. We as a league had 4 teams finish 1st or 2nd at the worlds in Vegas. Some say we much be doing something right. We have over 35 teams(6 divisions) and 500 plus players so nothing is easy to change.
