Posted | Discussion |
Dec. 5 allnavy39 Men's 40 1 posts | I am new to the Senior Softball community. I still play competitive softball here locally in Memphis, TN and only recently realized I could play some sort of Senior softball. I am currently the Head Coach for the men's All Navy Softball team and have been the last three years. I was a player before coaching the team, and only coached out of necessity, and the realization after numerous injuries that level of playing was for the youngsters. I retired from active duty in May 2013 and am currently enjoying my life as a new father, and student finishing my Masters in Sports Management. I have played softball at all levels since 1993, and have enjoyed it!! I have played all sorts of tournaments, all over the world and stateside. I can play just about any position pretty well and yes, I can even pitch. I am 41, 6' and 215, athletic, agile and can hit all over the field with power and average. I can play pretty much any infield position, though I actually prefer 3rd. I can track a ball in the outfield, and with a decent arm I will always hit cut-offs, split the runners and do my job. I have pretty good speed for my size but my reaction to the ball more than make up for not being a speed demon. I am looking for a team that plays major tournaments, needs a solid player, reliable and dependable. I am available pretty much every weekend and traveling is not an issue. I spent 20 years in the Navy traveling all over the place, most of it playing ball! If you want to contact me please let me know, I can be reached through this website or: allnavy39@yahoo.com millington1010@aol.com 901-596-5567 Thanks for your time and consideration. Matt Hinkle |
