Has SSUSA done away with having to play in a qualifier to play in the World TOURNAMENT?
NO as it relates to individual players seeking to join a team for the World Masters ... Teams, other than Senior Women (50+ and older) and Men's Major+ (any age) and 80+ and 85+, must play in a Qualifier to enter the event ...
Subject to pre-existing "numbers" on the qualifying roster of a team looking to add players, that team can add up to player #12 from "same age/same (or lesser) skill level" and up to player #15 with "next older age/same (or lesser) skill level" so long as, of course, the player(s) are otherwise eligible as to age and residency ... Also, players don't have to qualify to play Major+ ...
