| Jan. 11, 2017 ChrisUniverse 1 posts | North Texas (Allen/Plano area) I'm looking for an over 50 team in this area for the Spring 2017 Season. Since I quit coaching baseball a year ago, I've become a bit dormant. I'll be 51 in February. I'm still very quick. I can play outfield, first, third, second and can even pitch if needed. I've always been a gap hitter but can surprise you with some pop once in a while. I don't mind trying out. I usually have Thursdays off but my schedule is flexible other days. | Jan. 12, 2017 TexasTransplant Men's 70 516 posts | Chris, I sent a copy of your post to the coaches of two teams I play on in the Richardson league last night. You should be hearing from one or both of them shortly. You didn't indicate whether you were interested in league, tournament, or both, but the league is a good place to make some contacts for tournaments. The Richardson league plays at Heights Park (Arapaho and Floyd Rd, behind the Rec Center). The only senior leagues I am aware of in DFW are this one and one that plays in Grand Prairie (plus a day league, which would be a problem if you still work). |
