March 14 STONEMAN Men's 50 535 posts | FACTS on Bat Standards F2219 & F1890 JIM 16 / PETE D / GARY 19: Please, read the follow': BJSM -- eLETTERS for McDowell & Ciocco. These letters explain several objectives. In around 2003, the F1890, was revisied. F2219, as of 09/20/05, had been adopted by only ASA. F2219, is a lab' performance-base test & not a real-world field-test. After much test', the follow': D. Russell, M. McDowell, M. Ciocco, & others r still find' fault w/ ASTM F2219. An article in BJSM, it was stated that;" it was found that a human can produce a higher Batted Ball Exit Velocity, than a robit hit' machine." Fact.... a powerfull hitter can hit a single wall bat & hit a ball that a pitcher does not have enough time to react. This was done in several lab-field test. FACT: ASTM 2219, has many loopholes & is not a 'good test standards." FACT: Several indiviuals, told ASA, about F2219s misgivings. ASA, did not listen & went ahead w/ their own standards. ASA, is the only softball Assoc.' that uses the F2219 standards. FACT: ASA, has now, gone back to several indivuals that told ASA, that F2219 had several errors. Believe, this or not...ASA, has asked these same men, what can ASA do to correct F2219. FACT: NOT ONE DAMN THING. So, what will ASA, do? Come out w/ a New Standards? Start the Bat Bans again? FACT: This comes from Bat Markers & 2 large Bat Retailers; " the late 2006 & New 2007 bats, r just as hot, if, not hotter; than when ASA, started banning bats in ......" GREAT NEWS..... also, do u remember when the U-2 got banned? MIKEN, let players trade in their U-2s for Velocit-2 & the Edge. Then sold the used, broken, & cracked U-2 bats back to SENIORS? GOOD LUCK..... The STONEMAN.......... |
March 14 E. Ness 122 posts | FACTS on Bat Standards F2219 & F1890 Stoneman I will give you another soon to be fact. The ASA has already told the bat companies to start working on the 96 and 94 mph bats. I hit a couple of prototypes of each and fact is the bats suck and in the end people will alter them. Pandora's box has been open and like anything else once you taste the honey no one wants to go back. I am just glad I play in senior softball where we have not lost our minds (as of yet) on bat standards. LIVE ON SENIOR BATS. |
