Aug. 29, 2019 MtnHigh 14 posts | Willing To Play In Vegas, 70AAA Just returned from Aurora and was told I had a good tournament there. I am willing to play with a team that is in need of a good 1st Baseman and a solid base hitter. I played 70AAA and played against a few major teams in Aurora. Anyone who was there and knows me may chime in however you feel. I am living in Colorado. Thanks (970) 729-3145 |
Aug. 29, 2019 MtnHigh 14 posts | I realize this is a late thread but I was not certain I could do well in a tournament after a long medical battle I've been in. But my wheels are good, good glove, good bat and I would be an asset to a team in need. Played against Texas, New Mexico and Colorado teams in Aurora. THNX |

Sept. 1, 2019 MtnHigh 14 posts | Yes I am. |
Sept. 2, 2019 LeeM Men's 70 39 posts | Dang, could use you but since were a California team, cant. Good luck hooking up with someone |
Sept. 4, 2019 MtnHigh 14 posts | Lee, just a thought but SSUSA might be willing to make a special exemption for a one time participation if your situation qualifies. I played only one SSUSA tournament this year with a team from CO who played only one SSUSA tourney. My phone number is above if you want/need to discuss. I appreciate your response. Thanks, Ed |
Sept. 4, 2019 MtnHigh 14 posts | That shared, I am tournament experienced and would like to play with somebody. Wish you good luck with your goal and do well in Vegas. |
Sept. 5, 2019 LeeM Men's 70 39 posts | We are going to look into it...thanks |
Sept. 5, 2019 SSUSA Staff 3491 posts | LeeM ... We welcome your inquiry, but the reality to keep in mind is that, for 600+ team rosters reviewed/evaluated to date, there have been ZERO roster exemptions approved, and that's the "goal" number ... It's going to be virtually impossible to make a compelling argument for this exception because there are a multitude of teams in MtnHigh's appropriate age/rating eligibility options in his home state/bordering states/snowbird state ... You're certainly welcome to submit it, and good luck at the tournament ... |
Sept. 5, 2019 nofear 13 posts | Mt. High, (Ed), would be an asset with any 70 team that he would have the chance to play with. He had a solid tournament with us, offensively and defensively. |
Sept. 6, 2019 MtnHigh 14 posts | SSUSA STAFF: With the utmost respect to you and your response. I played in Aurora 1 time with a brand new team that as I understand it, will NOT be playing again. As you say, there are a number of teams in my state, however, I live over 300 miles from Denver and 7 hours from Salt Lake or Phoenix, etc etc. I don't get to play in big city leagues, so I don't get invited to play tournaments. Some of this is a result of a medical situation. I was and am hoping to get to play 1 time in Vegas with a team before we drive back to the east coast in October. I have not played a tournament (prior to Aurora) in 3 years, just league ball with the young bucks. So if you could take these facts into consideration, I most certainly would be appreciative and grateful to have an opportunity to play one more time in the west. Thank You EA |
Sept. 6, 2019 MtnHigh 14 posts | Thanks to all who have responded to my thread. |
Sept. 6, 2019 SSUSA Staff 3491 posts | Ed ... Assuming everything you write about the team you played with in Aurora is true (no reason to suspect it's not!), their conclusion for this Season simply amounts to a disbandment of that team, making all of the roster players free agents ... That's to your benefit as it eliminates any requirement for you to get a release ... However, your proposal/desire is dependent on SSUSA waiving the roster composition rules for the California target team you seek to join ... That is precisely the type of exception that, if done once, would have to be extended and available to over 600 other teams who are complying with the stringent roster composition criteria for the World Masters Championships ... We sincerely hope you are able to catch on with an otherwise eligible team in Colorado, it's bordering states or your snowbird state because we absolutely concur that you would be an asset to the target team ... Good luck! |
Sept. 7, 2019 MtnHigh 14 posts | Thank you and appreciate it. Simply to reiterate, it is my desire to play in the west once more but I have not been active in contacting team managers, etc. Hopefully it works out but if not, so be it. Thanks for cooperation. |
