Hey there, Curious about something......

I was looking at the brackets for the Winter World Championships this weekend in Phoenix and noticed in the 55/60 Platinum division that the team "Regeee's Rams doesn't have a symbol next to their name showing that they have to spot 5 runs to the Major teams.

I thought I saw a few weeks back that they got the bump to 55 Major plus since they took 2nd at the most recent World Championships at the 55 major level. Is this an error on the bracket?

Their roster for the Winter World's in Phoenix is a "new" Regee's Rams team ... They lost 12 of the 16 roster players from the Las Vegas World's team, and replaced them with seven new players for 2024 (four of the current 11-man roster are in their 60's) ... By rule, if a team's roster falls below six (6) players from the previous year, they are deemed to be a "new" team and their rating is determined based on an analysis of the reconstituted current roster ... That determination for Regee's Rams is 55-Major ... There's no rating classification error in the Men's 55/60-Platinum division bracket ...

That contradicts rule 6 on the Team Ratings -Guideline Procedures.

6. A team retains its rating unless it falls below 3 players from the original team. The new team ranking is then determined by the playing history of the current team members.

Yes, 7 new players, however they have 4 players from the original team that should carry a major plus tag, no?

Suggestion...consolidate all of the SSUSA rules under a specific rules only thread that is read only and members can't comment on.
