Jan. 4 SSUSA Staff 3505 posts | MESSAGE BOARD POLICY There have been several messages concerning a lawsuit against Senior Softball-USA because of our Major-Plus Regional Restrictions for 2005. Those messages were removed from our website – and will continue to be removed from our website. We consider those messages libelous. We reserve the right to remove messages that are obscene, libelous or whose primary purpose is the sale of goods or services. |

Jan. 5 NorCal1B 11 posts | MESSAGE BOARD POLICY doc - I think you may be missing (or ignoring) the reason for the message you are replying to. I believe that the deleted message was removed because the person that wrote it included libelous (in the view of SSUSA) statements and was using THIS site to recruit co-plaintiffs for a threatened lawsuit against SSUSA, the owner of THIS message board. The decision made was wise in those circumstances. Freedom of speech is very much alive and well here, regardless of the occasional message that needs to be removed, regardless of the occasional comment that is critical of SSUSA (and remains here), and despite the occasional ill informed comments that get made, such as yours. This Board is one of the best I have seen at providing an outlet for Sr. Softball players to express their views on matters of interest to all of us, and as long as we stick to the softball issues, we can all benefit greatly. |
Jan. 7 docnorm Men's 55 99 posts | MESSAGE BOARD POLICY 1B, I read the message he left, and i Know what the reasons were for it being removed and i don't ignore anything. I am an educated man and for you to insinuate in any way or form is rude on your part, I think, an I am sorry to me from you maybe be in order. Doc PS, For what it is worth I think the rule should be revised in some way to make everyone happy, I believe that if you are playing in the highest division, you should be able to recruit from anywhere and everywhere no matter what state you are in, we have earned that right to play on the best against the best. Setting us apart from the other states is just plain wrong. Just my opinion |
Jan. 7 NorCal1B 22 posts | MESSAGE BOARD POLICY Doc - If you "...know what the reasons were for it being removed...", then why ignore those reasons (of libel and recruiting potential co-plaintiffs on the defendant's OWN web-site) and resort to playing the bogus "Freedom of Speech" card? And, for the record, I am in total agreement that the underlying issue is a worthy discussion topic and one that deserves full comment and consideration here and wherever the powers that be reside |
