EASTERN NATIONALS

Aug. 21, 2015

Raleigh hosted the 15th annual Eastern Nationals for the eighth straight year with a USA national game invitation and TOC berth on the line for  the 61 teams who participated in this year’s classic.

SSUSA Executive Director Fran Dowell noted that “The heat was on in Raleigh where the best teams of the East competed for a berth for the national title game.”

The Walnut Creek Softball Complex was the battleground for the tournament.  Dowell had glowing comments regarding the venue, “The teams appreciated all that the 2009 Complex of the Year had to offer and especially the exceptional hospitality of the field staff.”

The tournament did not disappoint the attendees. Teams from six states took home titles. Six teams from the host state of North Carolina, including Combat/Next Level 55's, Carolina Five-0, Triangle Masters, Crystal Cobras, Lewisville Masters and Code Electric Royals protected their home turf and won their divisions; the most of any state.
