ISA SENIOR WORLD SERIES

Aug. 21, 2015

The ISA Senior World Series returned to Columbus, Ind, where 44 teams from throughout the Midwest left their sweat and tears on the field. Beautiful weather and great fields at Lincoln Park provided optimum playing conditions throughout the tournament with 10 division champions decided after the dust settled.

The Men’s 50 Silver division saw Team 050 go 5-1 to seal the division with a 24-19 win over Chi-Town 50’s. Meanwhile, Pope Transport 50’s went on to take the 50 Major division title defeating Brickyard Classics 50’s 16-11.

Doc’s dominated Old Style/Windy City to earn the 55 Major Plus division title, while Softball Club fended off Six Pac 55’s to seize the championship in the 55 Major division. Squeaking out a division title in the 55 AAA division, the Milwaukee Merchants barley survived the competition with a 10-9 championship win against the previously unbeaten Central Illinois Chiefs.

Kinnco Services earned the 60 Major division title after a decisive 19-5 victory over Motown Stars, while Indy Fog devoured Champ-Urbana Kool 60’s 17-1 to seize the 60 AA championship. With six teams competing in the 60 AAA division, the competition heated up with Cincinnati 60’s forcing the only “If” game of the tournament against Minutemen/Pepco. In a close match-up, Minutemen/Pepco remained steadfast defeating Cincinnati 60’s 18-17 to take the division title.

In the 65 Major division, Declaire/LaMacchia went undefeated effortlessly locking up the division. US Jobs/Indy 65’s ruled the 65 AAA division also going undefeated as they outplayed Mid-State Seniors 65’s. Indiana Legends/Columbus played some competitive ball outgunning the competition in the 65/70 AA division to snatch the division title.
