THE TEXAS STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN AUSTIN ATTRACTS OVER 55 TEAMS!

TBA

The Texas State Championships makes its first appearance in Austin after previously being held in Houston and Dallas. Over 55 teams will be competing in this year’s classic, the largest turnout in the 9-year history of this event.

The Texas State Championships will be played from June 22-26th in Austin (Krieg Softball Complex & Bob Havins Field) and Del Valle (Southeast Metro Park).  Teams are competing for a prized berth to the Original Tournament of Champions in Florida – the gem of Senior Softball.

Men’s teams are playing in divisions ranging from age 50 through the 75 year-old master statesmen of the sport.

“The record turnout for the Texas State Championships shows just how popular the Austin area is for senior softball players and their families,” said Terry Hennessy chief executive officer of Senior Softball USA.

Economically, the 1,100 senior athletes and their families playing in the Texas State Championships will infuse more than $1.5 million into the Austin area.
