SSUSA STAFF HIGHLIGHT: JOE DIANA

Nov. 1, 2016

Joe Diana, based out of Florida, is a Regional Director for Senior Softball USA.

The Pittsburgh native worked for 39 year at Curtiss-Wright as a Manufacturing Supervisor before retiring and moving to Florida in 2008.

Diana got his start in senior softball as an umpire in 2009, working with Florida Half Century, as well as local leagues and travel ball.

He began working with SSUSA in 2013 and has worked many of the major tournaments on the East Coast, such as the Winter National Championships, the Eastern National Championships and the Original Tournament of Champions.

"SSUSA is like finding another family," said Diana. "Starting out as an umpire and now a director, everyone treats you like family. That's what I like about working for SSUSA. It's a family organization."

Diana has also worked the World Masters Championships, the biggest SSUSA tournament.
