OBITUARIES - 2/16/17

Feb. 1, 2017

Tony Pacini

Tony Pacini, 70, died on Jan. 16.

Pacini’s player history with SSUSA dates back to 1999. He most recently played with the Chicago Classics Bobcats (60 AAA) during the 2009 and 2010 seasons, helping to lead the team to first place finishes and TOC berths at the 2009 Northern Championships and the 2010 Midwest Championships.

“Tony was a great teammate and friend to all,” said former teammate Michael Sabatino. “He was always joking around, but when it came to playing, he was the guy that came through when you needed it. He will be missed.”

“Tony and I were great friends, in and out of softball,” said Michael Caliendo, manager of the Bobcats. “The team and all the members that played on the Chicago Classics organization are going to miss him greatly.”
