SS-SUA's Website Gets New Look -- Message Board Updated, Results to be Posted

Nov. 1, 2003 – Jack Sirard contributing writer

Senior Softball-USA unveiled a major renovation and upgrade of its website in October.

"In short, there's a lot more for senior softball players and we've now designed the Web site to be far more user friendly," Scott Flodin, Senior Softball-USA's art director.

The Web site can be updated much faster by the Senior Softball staff who will be able to post tournament results, ratings and schedules. Players and managers will be able to find information published in past editions of Senior Softball News much more easily, by simply searching for key words.

In the months ahead, Flodin expects to add forms for registering for tournaments.

He says that many players will discover the advantages of using the message board to keep in contact with other players in other parts of the country.

"The message board will be searchable simply by typing in a word like "bats" and you will find all messages about bats or you could do the same thing about the recently played tournament in Mobile," Flodin says.

In addition, the new data base will report team results from Senior Softball tournaments.

In the future, Flodin says he hopes to be able to add personal home pages for teams that their players can log onto and post messages to their teammates.
