SSUSA Qualifiers Set for 2020; Women’s World Cup Series Announced

Jan. 1, 2020

With nearly 70 qualifiers scheduled during the 2020 calendar year, don’t miss out on your chance to qualify for the 2020 LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships (Las Vegas), as well as the 2020 Eastern (Loudoun County, VA) and Western (Sacramento, CA) National Championships.

Also, be sure to attend a designated Tournament of Champions (TOC) qualifier, for your chance to earn a berth to the Crown Jewel of the sport in Polk County, FL in February 2021.

Forty-two (42) teams have already stamped their ticket to the TOC, earning a berth by winning their respective division at the Winter National (Naples, FL) and Winter World (Phoenix, AZ) Championships back in November, kicking off the 2020 season.

The month of March comes in like a lion with four TOC qualifiers, as the Southern Championships (March 7-9) in Valdosta, GA; Spring National Championships (March 20-22) in Polk County, FL; Spring World Championships (March 24-29) in Mesquite, NV/St. George, UT; and the Tidewater Classic (March 26-29) in Virginia Beach, VA highlight a jam-packed month.

Also, for the second straight year, teams competing in the CAN AM tournament in Niagara Falls will earn a shot at a TOC berth. New this year for CAN AM will be the approved use of SSUSA senior bats.

New for 2020 will be SSUSA’s Women’s World Cup Series.

Women’s teams playing in three* designated tournaments will earn a FREE entry to the Women’s World Cup Championships at Freedom Park in Valdosta, GA, scheduled for Oct. 30 - Nov. 1, 2020.

*Women’s teams that played in the recent Winter World Championships this past November have already knocked off one of the three needed tournaments to earn the free entry to Valdosta.

Women’s teams that do not play in three tournaments can still attend the Women’s World Cup Championship, but must pay the entry fee.

Freedom Park was selected as SSUSA’s Complex of the Year in 2018, as has previously hosted the Eastern National Championships (2018), as well as the Southern Championships (2019). Freedom Park will once again be home to the Southern Championships in 2020.
