SSUSA Looks Towards a Bright Summer with Five June Tournaments

Look Out for a TOC Qualifier Near You

After a three-month hiatus that saw no senior softball tournaments played in March, April, and May due to the effects of the COVID-19 global pandemic, SSUSA will look to close out the month of June with a glimmer of a hopeful summer.

The Missouri Open began the re-opening process with 61 teams in action.

This weekend, three more tournaments – the Oil City Classic (49 teams) in Tulsa, Okla., / the Southern California State Championships (33 teams) in Yuma, Ariz., / and the Sunshine State Showdown (25 teams) in Punta Gorda, Fla. – are scheduled to be played with 107 total teams in action.

Closing out the month will be the Holiday Classic in Sturgis, Mich., June 27-28.

“I’ve spoken with the park, umpires, teams, and suppliers,” said Michigan Regional Tournament Director Mike Dembicki. “We are good to go.”

SSUSA hopes that these five tournaments in June will be a catalyst for a busy summer of play for teams around the country.
