ISA Senior Worlds Draws 61 Teams to Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN – The ISA Senior Worlds continued to grow in 2009, with 61 teams competing here from July 31 – Aug. 2.

Winners of each ISA Senior World division are invited to the Tournament of Champions in Florida in February. Here are the winners in each division.

50 Major - Windy City, Illinois won the 50 Major. They went 4-0 in bracket play, hitting 12 home runs in 5 games. They played good defense and base-hit the ball. There were 8 teams in the division.

55 Major Plus - Kittrell Acoustics, NC won the 3-team division.

50 AAA - Kaysons Grille, GA won the division, but have been moved to Major, so Chicago Prime, the top-finishing AAA team, received a berth to the TOC.

55 AAA – Birmingham 55, AL went undefeated in the 6-team division , but the games were close.

60 Major Plus - Miken/Tanel, FL took the championships in this very competitive 4-team division.

60 Major - Morris Farm, FL beat Oklahoma Turf Pro 16-15 to take it to the “IF” game.

60 AAA - Carriage Homes, AR, came out of the loser’s bracket to beat Express twice to win the title. in this 5 team division.

60 AA - Dayton Legends 60, OH won best 2 out of 3 against Team ABC.

65 AAA - West Michigan Carelinc won three 1-run ballgames to win this 5-team division.

65AA - Jim & Joe’s, KY, won best two out of three over Raymond James.

70 Major Plus/Major - Suncoast,, FL, came back through the loser’s bracket to win the title.

70 AAA/AA - Hamel’s Cavaliers, VA went 3-0 to win this 4-team division.
