7 INDUCTED INTO NATIONAL HALL OF FAME

Softball News ReportPHOENIX – A record seven men were inducted into the Senior Softball National Hall of Fame here on Oct. 19 during Opening Ceremonies of the World Championships.
Six of the seven were inducted in the Pioneer Player Category, and Don Farber, manager of the San Francisco Seals 70 Major-Plus was inducted in the Manager Category.
The six Hall of Fame Players include:
Bob Conk, New York Statesmen 70 AAA
Frank Lapple, Tiodize D-99 80s Division
John Rawlings, Tiodize D-99 80 Division
Tom Schneider, Nor Cal Bluejays 65 Major-Plus
Ron Schwartz, Joseppi’s 75 Major
Bill Winter, The Bellentini 70 Major-Plus
“It gives us particular joy to induct these pioneer players – and manager – into the National Hall of Fame because without their efforts we would not be here today,” said Terry Hennessy, SSUSA chief executive officer. “They blazed the trail that today gives 30,000 competitive players and 1.5 million recreational players the opportunity to play senior softball.”
