View the sensational pictures and slide show of the First Annual American-Cuban Senior Softball Classic. Two Senior Softball-USA teams traveled to Cuba to compete against 4 Cuban teams from Feb. 15-23, 2010.

This softball diplomacy has opened the door to a culture that has remained behind a barrier – and, in some cases, lost in time – for the past half-century. The photos, taken and assembled by Rainer Martens, capture the flavor of a very unique experience that opened the hearts and minds of all who attended (Cubans and Americans alike).
