SALT CITY CLASSIC TOURNEY DRAWS MORE TEAMS

LIVERPOOL, N.Y. - Central New York will be a hotbed of activity July 15-18 with senior softball teams participating in the SSUSA Salt City Classic Senior Softball Qualifier at Hopkins Rd. Complex here.This will be the second year for this tourney and there has been an increase of teams interested in participating from the East Coast and Canada .
The Syracuse Nationals (Classic Car Show and Competition) will be in town at the New York State Fair Grounds along with the Pawtucket Sox (Boston Red Sox minor league team) scheduled to play the Syracuse Chiefs (Washington Nationals minor league team) at Alliance Stadium.
There is even a casino (Turning Stone Casino) located just 25 miles away where seniors can hope to “get lucky” off the field of play as well.
Tourney director Chuck Sharkey is excited about this qualifier and believes it will continue to grow every year as teams will learn and enjoy the many attractions that the area has to offer.
