BILLIE HARRIS INDUCTED IN ARIZONA HALL OF FAME

June 1, 2010 – Senior Softball-USA

Softball legend Billie Harris, 77, was inducted into the Arizona Hall of Fame in April.

Harris had been inducted into the Arizona Softball Hall of Fame in 1979, the ASA Softball Hall of Fame in 1982 and the Tucson Softball Hall of Fame in 1993.

Billie pitched an unbelievable 70 no-hit games and four perfect games in her career.

Billie has left an indelible mark on the sport of softball. She was the first African-American player on Arizona’s first all-women’s softball team during the 50s and 60s.

Later, Billie played on the Saints women’s senior softball team for several years.
