Stopping Sandbagging

March 1, 2001 – Letters from readers

The rule that requires all players to attend the qualifiers should help stop the roster sandbaggers to an extent. Making sure all players produce their Senior Softball photo ID Card at Qualifiers and World Championships will also help.

I also think that more top finishers ˆ including all top teams that tie ˆ should advance to the finals. Year after year solid teams that may be in tough brackets don't have a chance to advance.
