NORTHWEST PIONEER MARION DAVIS DIES

Marion Davis, senior softball pioneer for the Puget Sound area, died at age 80 in his home in Washington on August 30.While known for his pitching and hitting, Davis also made great strides in the creation and development of Senior Softball in the Northwest region. Many senior softball players are now enjoying the fruits of all his time and efforts.
“There is little question the majority of you senior softball players that have been around more than a few years will know this gentleman,” said Joe Horrall, manager of Silver Tips 75’s.
Davis is survived by his wife Marilyn of 53 years, his sons Mark, Michael; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
