Discussion: SSWS in Palm Springs/Reebok Bat

Joe did you see any GBA's out there?
I saw one in Merced this weekend. Seemed like a good bat. U2 like? Not from what I saw, but a nice bat even though it had a crack (the owner said after 50 swings, and a replacement is in the mail)

Discussion: Senior Softball is a Joke

Senior softball is far from a joke. Like Joe said there are a few issues but that's it. Just got back from Carson City, finished fourth, hurt my arm, but wouldn't trade the experience for anything. Great times.
The only thing that's a joke around here is you and your great English skills. Did you proof read your message before you sent it? Maybe try put down the bottle before typing.

Garyheifnner if that's all you have to show your grand kids then your kind of pathetic.

See it's easy to insult people sitting at a keyboard. Why is everything so negative on here?

Discussion: Cheap awards given out in Reno

Yeah does seam a little cheap; but we're not pros. From your description it sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. Any vacation to a place like this is going to cost $$.

Taits, a couple of years ago we were using 44\400 balls. Now we use 44\375, isn't that a compromise? A good one, but still a compromise. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Larry that's why ssusa gives them to the manager, so he (or the team)can decide on the criteria. All the teams I've played on have always gone on over-all performance. Giving to just the best hitter is weak.

Dude why did you start a new thread?
Didn't like the title?
Or do you just like see your name at the top.

Paco13 said it very well. I enjoy challenging myself to play the best I can, and shoot for one of those patches. If I just wanted to drink beer and screw around I would just stay home playing league. For me, going to tournys playing with and against the best and maybe earning an All Tourny patch is what it's about. I like the way ssusa does it, leaving it up to the qualifying team to decide. If you have jealousy on your team then maybe a team meeting is in order. This only leads to much bigger issues, been there done that.

Joe care to comment? Woohahahah.

Seriously, played a tourny earlier this year with the 40 cor ball and it absolutely sucked. DCPete is correct, be very careful what you wish for.

Actually the Heart of the Hide model breaks in faster, a little nicer leather.

The Nokona is nice but gets real floppy when it is well broke in. Went back to a Rawlings, 13.5" Trap-eze, what a great glove. I have much more confidence now. Get the Gold Glove model, breaks in fast and save a little $ too.

Hennessy this blows. You've done this to me two times in the last two years (not necessarily this tourny) You need to get your act together. Yeah I know, you're the only game in town, still sucks.

flatbucki, yes senior bats are hotter. Although my well broke-in Freak+ is just about as hot as my U2, but with a smaller sweetspot. No you cannot use seniors in most other regular leagues (I assume you mean utrip, asa, etc.) Just go to their web sites and check out their approved lists.
