BruceinGa........I've been recommending Todd's web site for several years now. I went to the site today, looks like his store is closed. He still has information, just no sales. Do you know if he's going to re-open? Thanks.

If you travel to a 3 day tournament, 3 or 4 bats is a must. Senior bats have been known to break. You must have back-ups, unless you want to be a poor teammate and ask to use someones bat. I would lend a bat, but only because I have back-ups. As a player, I would feel horrible if I broke a teammates only gamer.

Using the overlap grip gives you more plate coverage, therefore, no biggie.

The streets of NY? San Francisco? Whistler?

What makes it improved? I heard it is not as good as the Canadian version. Good luck.

The Tanel Rage is a great bag, especially if you're flying to tournaments. You can put a lot of clothes in the bag and save on baggage fees.
You'll need a discount to get it under $100.

Discussion: Bat Weight

The old Ultras seemed to have the same size shell with the rod in the handle being the determining factor in the weight. A 28oz might have a 3" rod and a 30oz a 41/2" rod. Haven't bought or broken any new (made in USA) Ultras to see if they are the same.

kbl.........You are correct about how seniors feel about the senior bats. Just look in the dugouts. What bats do you see. One can play with single wall bats local if that is what one wants.

Pricer........Not many screaming about safety. Just the same few.

Then you have Gary complaining about being able to hit further than he could when he was 20. Seniors don't care about what you or others could do as kids. They only care about what they can do themselves against their peers today.

cheezhed1......The Combat Centenarian just takes longer to break in. That will allow you to use it for batting practice. Good choice. Gary's right about the senior bat versus an aluminum bat, but you knew that already.

I just lay top hand over bottom, pinching thumb and point finger. Different techniques, just find what works best for you.

Robo2......It's a great grip. Works best with knob cuff. Since you can't go outside......you should practice a lot of dry swings. Check out

mrhitman........No need to be sorry. I'm the one who started it. I remembered when you didn't give
sdsharksbb notification that you would not be in Reno. That' over now. A lot of fast-pitch players have trouble with slow pitch. I'm sure that with more playing you will get better. Using a Tee for practice really helps. Just be nice to the little lady if you want to keep playing.
