Discussion: Rule changes - where are all the Major Plus players opinions?

Lets see how it plays out. Looks like a preminum will be placed on defense, base hitting as wellas the home run.

Did they also limit Hr's in the 40 division?

As a 50 M/Plus payers I have no problem with the piticher safety rule, our local regular tournament as well as leagues have gone to this.

Doesn't make since to close down the middle and at the same time restrict home runs. How about 12 and one up?

No Ultra's allowed inside BLD Complexes, this is a company wide policy. You can use the Senior Combat, Worth 510, Demarini Gerzzer.

Off site fields that may be used will allow all above including the Ultra.

Discussion: Random Thoughts About Las Vegas

Played my first 50/Senior tournament Major/Plus division.

Little disappointed at both locations Freedom and Desert Bloom (Maryland Ave). I would hope in the future SSUSA would improve on this.

All things considered I had a good time and would go again.

Discussion: ASA to change mound distance

ASA should add, plate matt as strike, 6' picthers box behind the rubber, USSSA bats, and play ball.

Pitch height has always been umpire opinion so 12' or 15' is moot.....See it, hit it.

Discussion: Knee Replacement

Had replacement surgery Oct 2006. Rotatating Knee Platform from Dupey, newest techology. Have movement in all directions as well as fexibility that I haven't had in 10 years. PAIN FREE. Should last approx 15 years.

Feels good to play the outfield again, and swing with my lower half.

Advise, stay on you therapy and exersice. I have a upper, lower body, and cardio work out program 4/5 days a week. Free weights, dumbells, leg lifts, lunges, straddells, bike and treadmill.

Chris, Fellas.

No problem with the Elite and Competitive divisions going to singles after the limits are reached.

However ,in the Recreation and League divisions I support these rules, should help hold down the sandbagging, Give's teams a starting point, a place to play without getting their heads beat in.

Remember in giving the player what he/she wants we're going to try and keep things as competive as possibles, as safe as possible.
With the right to reclass any team at anytime.

Crusher, Gary,

The screen has been brought up as well as the status of the Ultra2. Again, we're trying to find a balance based on the intial feedback from players.

WSA has always listen to the players that support the program. If opinions and circumstances change then I believe WSA will adapt. I submit lets give it a few tournaments and review what we have.

Geeezer#6,
I'm going to call you out on this one. Play our Elite division in Seniors. That division is opened up. Ultra 2, 10 homeruns per team, no roster retrictions. Lets see what you have.

WSA has and will always have rules to provide protection for the pictcher position.

Taits,
You're right Chris doesn't play Seniors. Knowing that limitation he has relied on those in the know. People that play Seniors. To that end we have ask and received feedback from players as to what the really want.

Not saying we're better, but we would say we're a viable option.

Jose,
It was always the left knee. Will return after knee replacement surgery.
Was with MAC up until 2005, six years total with Byrons/MAC. Did play the 45 National with them in 2005.
We're looking at and listening to all options but it appears most want the Ultra 2. I think the ball is going to be a 44/400 and the halo might be tinkered with as to find a balance between giving the players what they want but providing as much safety as posible.
We'll put this together for the Jan 7, 2006 tournament and welcome all feedback, positive or negative.

WALK,
I here what you're saying. Maybe there should be an Elite Division that has no roster restrictions.

Elite, Major, Plus, and Recreation divisions. Rules as such that sandbagging in the recreation is discouraged.

I think that you'll find WSA does respond to it's players. They already allow the 1.20 bats, 47/525 ball, (2006) 44/525. Pitcher halo with safety rule. The most liberial homerun rules of any association.

The run cap per innning I think is a good. 5 per each division with the Elite cap being 10.

I like the way ASA selects their award winners at Nationals. The tournament officials pick. Leaves all the B.S. out of it. What I've noticed is, if you are one dimensional you will not be selected.

The Original Freak and Synergy II should be the limit. Elimanate the plus models for all associations. Come up with a standard ball (44/525) and be done with it.

I have a knee that gets cortizone twice a year. Problem is cortizone only mask the pain. Doesn't heal the injury, you'll feel like a million bucks early on, it'll wear off shortly, mean while you're causing more damage to the injury because you can't feel thepain telling you to STOP.

Knee replacement scheduled for late April 2005.
