Discussion: Batter out of the box

The issue at BLD is that not all the plates were in the same place relative to the batter's box. The field mentioned above where there were numerous guys called out the plate was significantly up in the box.

Discussion: Notice on changes to Spring Worlds Session #2 due to rain forecast

I am new to the coaching routine, what is the process for notifying coaches of changes to the schedule? I see now it is forecast to rain (over 50% each day) each day of the planned tournament and highs just over 50 degrees.

We are sure looking forward to being back on the field, but not in the rain and cold.

I made a phone call to Bell Bank Park, and they said since I am the first game of the day I could hit on the field prior to the game.

Thanks!

Discussion: Hitting at Bell Bank Park

We have the first game of the day on Tuesday. We usually do a little batting practice on the field we are schedule on before we play mainly to lessen up these old bodies. The batter is standing in foul territory and the pitcher is in effect pitching in the "grass" in the outfield. Is this allowed at Bell Bank Park? I have a variety of answers and just wanted it from an official source.

Thanks!

I may be goofy, but it looks like B1 has some dups between the 65AAA and the 75's on Thursday.

Have fun will travel!

Discussion: I am looking to join a 70 + team for tournament play.

Gus:
Both of the Scrap Iron 70's teams are headed off to Reno. The coaches are Rob Minner [riminner@comcast.net], Scrap Iron Storm, and Terry Goodrich at terrygoodrich@comcast.net, Scrap Iron 5280.

My understanding is that Terry's team is full, but Rob's team may be looking for players.

Discussion: Apologize for late withdrawal from Reno

Our 75AAA 75 Scrap Iron Softball Club needed to withdraw from the Reno tournament due to last minute notice of serious health issues of several players and/or their wives. We started a month ago with 14 ready to go, then numerous serious illnesses hit and yesterday (Thursday, 5/26) I got the call that a wife was going for a biopsy & MRI for likely breast cancer and another call seconds earlier was for a player that had a positive COVID test and wasn't feeling great. This brought the number to 9 with one of the 9 having cracked ribs.

I think he is joining the wrong message. I think he is referring to the Prescot tournament. But only he can answer that.

Discussion: Looking for a 50+ AAA team in Colorado, Wyoming or Western Nebraska

Sean:
We have 2 50AAA travel teams out of Colorado. One is the Elite/Scrap Iron
team the coaches email is Michael.Christopher@kp.org.

The other is Alliance/Scrap Iron and the coaches contact email is john.karagiannes.1@us.af.mil

I don't know if they need players but they would probably be a good start.

If you are moving to the 55 age group we have 3 teams in the 55 group with one in each AA, AAA and M categories.

Good luck!

Jim
