Colorado team looking for a 55 AAA player for Vegas. Due to injuries etc. I am down to 11 players and one of them is injured. We are a strong team, finished 4th in Vegas 2 years ago with only 10 players. Prefer a middle infielder or outfielder. I don't care where you are from but you have to have 55 AAA experience this year to add to the roster.

Thanks STL0. It is good to hear feedback from others.

I agree that SSUSA generally does a good job managing this stuff. It is hard to have a "one size fits all" policy and still keep everybody happy while maintaining competitive balance. However, it does seem that this policy tends to penalize the players and teams from small geographic areas where there are very few teams which makes player movement between teams more difficult.

I thought about just calling SSUSA in the beginning instead of using this forum. But as a fairly new coach I wanted to hear feedback from others.

Thank you. That is helpful. I understand the "three players with 55-Major experience histories" rule.

But to carry the example one step further, what happens when there is only 1 55 AAA team in the area? And maybe that team already has 3 players with Major experience?

I would just hate to see players get shut out and not be able to play.

Note this is an example and does not involve any players from my team. Thank you for the quick response.

I understand the team rating system completely. But I do not understand the player rating system.

To illustrate, let me use a hypothetical example:

At the conclusion of the season, Team A, a moderately successful 55 Major team, cuts 5 players in favor of adding 5 new, younger, better players. These 5 players that have been cut from their team have no other option to play 55 Major ball in their area.

What are their options for playing the next season? Can they play 55 AAA? (which properly matches their skill level anyway) Can they start a new 55 AAA team?
