Just thought I'd let you know that the Huntsman website has a list of players that are looking for teams. You can go online and scan down the list to see if any of them fit your needs.

Discussion: Looking for 50+ Women's Team

I'm a 58 year old woman in the California Central Coast area, but willing to travel. I'm mainly an infielder, but also willing to play wherever needed (except pitcher-never done that). In my younger years I mainly played shortstop, but my aging shoulder would probably do better on the 2nd base side.
Currently playing in a very non-competitive rec league, which is driving me crazy! Need to play with ladies who know the fundamentals and want to have fun doing it. Can e-mail additional background info to interested parties. Contact info: akers4kc@gmail.com

Discussion: Need Female Player for Western Regionals

I'm so sorry I didn't check the board Friday night!
I attended the tourney specifically to watch the Women and had my softball equipment with me! I noticed that you had a few players who were hurting, but you managed to pull out wins anyway. Your last game Saturday was a fun game to watch. Very competitive and entertaining.

I wish I'd known you were looking for players, as I would've offered my "services".

My purpose in attending the tourney was to see if I would be good enough to play on a competitive level senior team. As a 58 year old, I could see that the 40+ women were out of my league, but I think I could do okay on a 50+ team. Hope you did well in the Sunday brackets, and feel free to keep me in mind in the future.

Discussion: Woman 55 looking for Team

I found this discussion too late to be of help for Reno, but I'm a 58 year old women recently returning to the game and interested in playing with others my age. I don't know if I'm good enough for your needs, but am willing to come to a practice to try me out. My skills are intact, but rusty from disuse. I played shortstop for almost 20 years on a woman's team, and 2nd and 1st on Co-Ed teams, so my pedigree is mainly infield. I am located on the Hwy 101 central coast between Salinas and Paso Robles. I work full time so my availability is limited to nights and weekends.

Discussion: Looking for Women 50+ to play tourneys in the West

Was recently coaxed out of retirement to play on our women's office team and was reminded how much I loved to play. At 58, I would prefer to play with women my age, but that isn't an option around here (central coast California).
In my day I was lead-off hitter and starting shortstop for almost 20 years, playing on a decent C division tournament team. However, my shoulder is too far out of shape (or gone) to make a throw from shortstop to first. Second base would probably be best bet, but I've also played 1st base in Co-Ed, because I was able to handle the throws from men.
I'm not a big gal (5'4", 145 lbs), so I'm not a power hitter, but can still make decent contact.
Not sure if I can be of any use to anyone, but if you're looking for someone in California, I'm willing to give it a try!
