Discussion: New type of U2

Buyer beware: What makes anyone think this bat will be sanctioned for use in any of the senior associations or many local leagues for that matter?

Here is what it says on the fastpitch sales website when describing this bat:

"Of course this bat is NOT legal for ASA, USSSA, ISA, or any other major association. It is strictly for use in senior rec leagues, church leagues, or any other venue
where you want to hit serious bombs."

You may be flushing money down the toilet buying this bat.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Thanks for the updates Dave.

Message for webmaster Scott Floodin:

It would be nice if we could hit the back button to get out of the PDF format without having to log out completely. Other sites I visit have that capability.

Thanks for looking into this.

Discussion: Arizona MOB 50's

What does that last post by STONEMAN have to do with this message thread ??? Please stick to the subject.

Dbax. Tough situation. I know some of the guys on the MOB 50's. Nice group of guys. Good luck on hooking up with another team soon.

Discussion: Tired of the Ultra

I have an original U2. On it's third year. Still hitting bombs. I will say that it doesn't have quite the pop it originally had. Or, maybe I don't have the pop I used to have.

Discussion: Platooning is what we need

Here's a simple comparison on platooning and dating a Playboy Bunny.

Think of it this way.:

One guy (the defensive player) gets to take her out to dinner and drinks and gets to pay the whopping bill.

The other guy (the offensive player) gets to pick her up at the restaurant, take her home and do the wild thing.

The third guy (me) wants to do both. :-)

I can't think of one player I know that does not want to get his chance at hitting. If I'm busting my butt on defense, I certanily want my chance to hit. On the flip side, I'm sure that there are many who would be happy just hitting and not doing the hard work of playing defense. Just my 2 cents.

Discussion: COEUR D'ALENE TOURNAMENT NOT CANCELED

WHO'S GOING? Beautiful area. This could be a nice tourny. Any ID teams going? How about some of the OR and WA teams? Memorial field is a great old ballpark with the old stadium bleachers. It's right on the lake across the street from a teriffic park with a nice little outdoor bar and bistro for a few cold ones after the game.

Discussion: Ultra II's Why?

Ultra 2's, why not? To QC softball and JTS2: Go to the message board under the bats topic March 28th discussion. There is overwhelming response supporting use of the U2's. I seriously doubt that using a U2 turns a 500 hitter into a 750 hitter. I just purchased a 27 oz Synergy CNT Flex which is legal in all associations. My first 10 at bats with the CNT Flex resulted in a 9 for 10 effort with 2 HR's. Should this bat be banned? Quit beating a dead horse. The're here to stay.

Discussion: a little something

Thanks softballer. Great photos but I certainly didn't enjoy them much. I just felt very sorry for the poor soldiers that have to spend time in that hellhole. What a waste of lives, resources and money.

Thanks Stones. Even if we only got the results from the SSUSA qualifers, I for one think it would be much appreciated.

I would like to see all of the tournament results posted on this board. How hard would it be to have a results tab added? I brought this up a few times in the past but no response. Is there any interest in having this happen? Let's hear your opinion.

Hi Pro. I have never seen a U2 with an ASA stamp on it. Did it get ASA approval the first year it was out? I didn't think it was ever ASA approved.

Discussion: ? U2 or Freak +

I have both bats. (28 oz) To me, the Freak+ has a completely different feel and swing. The U2 is a balanced bat, the Freak + is more end loaded. I swing the U2 much better and distance is no comparison with the U2 launching the ball much farther. I only use the Freak+ when I have to because of bat restrictions.
