Hi Ken. I mistakenly posted it on this board when responding to a bats for sale message. I wanted the seller to be able to reach me directly. It must have been noted by this person for future reference. So, be very careful about what information you make public. Again, that's one reason I am a strong proponent of anonimity.

As far as the name calling and trash talking, I agree that it is very juvenille. It is also very easy for me to ignore.

As the message in the upper right corner or the home page says:

Einstein. With all due respect, I think I get the point very clearly. The point is that this is a softball chat board. Underhand slowpitch. We are not discussing world shaping events here. No discussions about war, global warming, kiddy porn or the like.

Nothing discussed on this board has the importance you would like to attribute to it.

If this board continues to dominated by this type of conversation, I for one will not be wasting any more time on here.

Everyone on this board has an undying love for the game.

Einstein, that's just very shallow thinking on your part. How can you say that don't care about what an unidentified, unattributed, or anonymous person has to say. Or, that the person saying it is not serious or is a lightweight.

Let me give you just 1 of hundreds of unattributed quotes:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Prosperity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

I'm sure you recognize this as the preamble to the Constitution. No one knows the author however I am sure you would agree that this is a very serious and "heavyweight" thought.

It's not accountability or someones identity that lends credence to the words. It's simply the words themself.

Embrace the good ones, ignore the bad.

Anyway, conversations about softball are lightweight in the scheme of things unless you have nothing else going on in your life.

NO WAY ! Here's why. I have personally had someone from this board send an e-mail to my personal e-mail address calling me out for disagreeing with something they had posted on this message board. Conversations on this board should be kept on this board. There is absolutely no good reason that I should have to disclose any personal info unless I want to.

There are too many whackos in this world with very short fuses.

Privacy should be my choice.

So by giving the won/loss record against the team and the division in which you played, you are in essence, naming names. Why not? If 20 or more people are aware of the situation, it is public knowledge anyway.

I am certainly not painting the team with a broad brush. It is only one guy and as I say, I hope it turns out not to be an altered bat.

By making more people aware of this incident, I think maybe the bat cheaters will be less likely to use them. I for one hope they are all caught.

What is the proceedure once a bat has been confiscated?

So, if I read the scores right, that narrows it down to 1 team, the Northwest 50's (formerly the Oregon Masters) out of the Portland OR area.

I sincerely hope the bat turns out not to be altered. I've played against those cats a few times and they seem to be a bunch of good guys.

Here's a thought. Some of the financial message boards have a feature called the "ignore button". This is for real. It allows you to ignore posts from people that you consider annoying, irritating or those that have nothing constructive to contribute to the conversation. The webmaster could add this function. That way einstein could only read messages from those that agree with him. Dbax, 60 bill, Pete, Bash, et al could ignore enistein droning on about platooning.

Hi Ken. I will agree with you about hub cities being less expensive to fly into. That is one downside about the trip to Seattle,

I have played many, many tournys in Vegas, Phoenix, Reno (every year but 1 out of the last 10) SPA in Plano TX and several times to FL. and the turnout has always been good.

I am sure that the turnout would be greater with a more central location like KC but I wouldn't want to go there every year just like I don't want to play in Phoenix every year. I like variety and enjoy seeing different parts of the country and do not go solely to play softball. I always try to set aside some time for sightseeing.

Hi Ken. If you won't travel from Thousand Oaks CA to Seattle for a tournament, how come you are willing to go to KC or Chicago ??

Please explain to me why Seattle is a "ridiculous location" and Phoenix and Las Vegas aren't. They certainly aren't centrally located and it won't be 100 degrees + in Seattle.

A few years ago, our team traveled from the west coast to Florida for tournaments twice in the same year because they were the Championships for the respective organizations. I know you can't please everyone. It's foolish to think that every team out there is going to be able to afford to travel. It's expensive and it's a time committment. But, if you want to play in the best tournaments around then you go wherever they are held. If you don't like the locatation, stay home.

4 from Japan
3 from Hawaii
2 from ON Canada
1 from SK Canada
12 from TX
6 from WI

4 from FL
4 from MA
3 from MD
3 from VA
3 from MO
3 from NJ
2 from OH
2 from PA
1 each from NY, DE, OK, KS

I would say that's pretty good representation from teams across the country. It's an opportunity to compete with the best and see a different part of the country. Phoenix is nice but I certainly don't want to go there every year. Additionally, the fields are top notch.

Hello batguy. You have posted 21 messages on this board. 20 of them have have either been bashing the Ultra 2 or touting the Rip It Elite or both. Are you a paid shill for this company? There is no double statdard being applied with regard to the Rip It, so you are definitely missing something. Have your employer get the bat certified through the proper channels.

I went to the Combat website and did not find the Combat/Anaconda bat anywhere. Is this something that Anaconda Sports is offering on their website? Is it a balanced or end loaded bat? Their hottest bat the B1 The Bomb was no where as good as the U2. Are there any reviews on it? Has anyone hit with it yet?

Sorry for all the questions but with the huge number of bats to choose from, I want to make sure it lives up to it's billing before I spend my hard earned money on it, which most don't.

By the way, why would anyone buy a RIP IT just to impress your church league friends?
