Patty Mac I have always thought that the complete player, regardless of work out regimen, can hit the ball anywhere they want anytime they want. Perhaps some of the hitting time 2x a week should be focused on 5-6 and 3-4 holes. I think that all of us have played those teams that consistently hit line drives and base hits. I am glad that they are bringing the game back to its roots! A step in the right direction.

Currently using the Mizuno's. They are very durable and lately some of the websites have had them as cheap as 39.99. One fault is that they have a horrible insole. I have taken the insole's from my Nike's and used them in the Mizuno's.

Discussion: 40's and 50's session #3

50's just let me tell you that you need to come PREPARED to the park. As a just for instance we played in a 29 team bracket and won our first bracket game and then lost our second. We left the park LATE on Friday night 10:00PM and then started early on Saturday, 0730. We kept winning throughout the day but with DELAYS we never completed our day until 12:30AM! We started back at 0800 Sunday morning!
All I can say is wow! This weekend took me back to playing tournaments with the Bandits in those early years. Get yourself ready! Hang on! Good luck to all - and stay in the winners bracket.
I want to also commend the Park Director and grounds crew at Desert Breeze. They worked long and hard to get fields worked quickly and get games going. Those guys were all volunteers and were there after we left each day. Thanks guys!

Discussion: How can SSUSA possibly reclassify an established Major+ team

FFdonnie please provide "your" definition of "bang" because as the guy standing there watching guys from these MAJOR teams launch balls that left the yard in most cases 50 plus feet beyond where our guys were putting it. I need to understand your definition.

Addressing your perception of watching during parts of several games I can tell you that I watched every hitter in every inning and maybe you were delirious from the heat but I cannot recall anyone "half swinging". Huge holes in the infield? What I saw and constantly reminded my shortstop normally 2nd base) and the new 2nd baseman that they were too far up the middle.

I'm sure SOCAL 55's would take exception with you that they we were "better" than they were! A couple of mistakes at the plate cost them putting us in the losers bracket on Sunday. I would say the same thing that the teams we talked to pointed to Top Gun as the team to beat. Top Gun won a close game 12-10 against R&R Towing, in 90 plus degree heat. In our game they were beginning to have problems with guys that were beginning to cramp up due to the 90 degree heat.

audieh I was hoping to get over to the Field of Dreams to see you guys again. I really enjoyed meeting all you guys during the TOC. Has your pitcher lost those battery operated shorts yet? I was the small guy at first base for Fangrabbers.... again I am sorry that I wasn't able to get over there and see you guys. Still haven't recovered from the ass-kicking you gave us in Florida.
I'll look forward to seeing you all down the road.

Jeff (JDUB) you guys had one heck of a year and I can not recall you all finishing anything less than 2nd in most anything you guys entered. The question always was when not if you were moved up. Knowing the players that you have congratulations on your 2012 achievements and good luck in 2013.
