chollis I believe I warned you about Big D from TN. Your lucky he left you any for the rest of the guys to hit. "He is an animal" a big ole teddy bear, but I would hate to see him ever get mad. Beachbum

Curt sorry I missed hitting the Reebok bat this weekend. I was looking forward to it after talking to you about it. I was the guy that was late because of *** messing up the times and I really wanted to hit it before our game. I see that Big D from TN did get to hit and if he says he enjoyed hitting it I sure its a very good bat.Even though they had trouble with the schedule we still manage to win the 55AAA. I guess that is what its all about. Welcome to the Majors

It will be an honor to fly the flag. I have two sons in the military. I believe its in part because of 9/11. My youngest (19 when he enlisted) joined the Marines in Jan and my oldest (25) joined the Army in August. OOH-RAH and HOOAH Beachbum

P.E. I hope I didn't offend any one but that bat didn't have a lot of pop and you did have some guys who hit well with it anyway. Thats why I thought it may need to be broken in but seeing it was not a senior bat that explains it.

Chollis hope the bat works out well for you.

Big D what position do you play? I think we play on the same team(yeah that sounds sad). I just don't know your last name or what state you live in. Guess that comes from me being new to the team. We have a BIG D that plays/played for us.

Discussion: Reebok Senior Bat

We played in the Southern Championships tournament in Birmingham this weekend. There was one team from Memphis that was swinging a Reebok bat. It was black with a white Reebok emblem. If that is the bat you are talking about you might want to get into different teams hands so that people can see what the bat can do. Hopefully it was a brand new bat and they were still trying to break it in.

We tried several teams but could not find the owner. I believe we left it on the water cooler or the with the director. I would check with them. good luck GA/AL Masters

Hey Ed did you get all the dirt off your butt after the silverbacks went up the middle like they did? I was just glad we manage to finish the game without any going after each other.
I didn't know if robster needed you for his team next year or wanted to serve you a subpoena( subpena dictionary.com has it both way)? Anyway glad you saw the post and could fill in the information for him.
You know it wasn't my idea to pitch that last game, right? Hope it didn't offend you. Well good luck next year Don

Robster
Yes his name is Ed but that is about all I know about him. We only play in a few tournaments together as a team so it is hard to get to know each other. I don't know you and you have only one post so I don't feel very comfortable giving out to much info.I could pass on some info, if I do manage to get in touch,if you need to contact him. I think he is looking for a new place to play next year, don't know that just guessing. He didn't seem to happy with the way things ended this year.

" This was the strongest field of AAA teams I have seen in my 5 years of playing the SPA National 50's AAA. There really was not a weak team in the 50+ AAA event."
I beg to differ, we sucked(GA Longshots). Just kidding we played good at times it just seemed that we preferred to fight more that play softball. I believe you guys just wore out the middle on us. Our pitcher had a few close calls and I think he was even knocked down once. We just didn't hit as well as you did.

I like the idea of playing in both the 50's and 55's. That maybe my answer. I guess we will just see how things go for now.

"SPA allows your 2010 roster starting with this tournament"
If I play with one team in the Pensacola tournament, Does this commit me to that team for 2010?
I planned on playing with another team starting in March 2010. Will I have to get a release from that team?

Bruce we had it called a few times for and against us (Augusta Bulls). Some were ligit calls others were ridiculous. The last at bat for me was a line drive over the pitchers head he threw his glove up it barely touch his glove and the ump called me out. Even the pitcher could not believe that call. He just wanted to get the game over with.

Discussion: Joe's Pizza Milton Fl

Just looking at some of the other messages and saw the one about Howards Furniture. It started me thinking about Joes Pizza out of Milton/Pensacola area. Did any of you possible play for or against that team in the 70's. I had a cousin who played for them back then. When I was growing up I heard a lot of stories about him and that team.

Discussion: HEADFIRST SLIDING

This is not the exact same thing but is is along the same lines. I am one of the pitchers for out team. The other day I had a hard grounder of the glove and it bounced out in front of me, after tracking in down I had only one play and that was to grab and throw in one motion. The problem with that was I came down on my knee and landed awkward. It was a that point I realized WHAT AM I DOING. I'm not 25 and heal as quickly as I once did. Why purpose did it serve to get the runner out and get hurt in the process. I'm here to get exercise and to enjoy myself not be put in traction. Did it inspire my team, probably but how long does that last. Sorry I just don't think it is worth the possibility of injury.

Thanks for the help, it is appreciated. Airbosn (must have been in the Navy) I don't recognized the managers name. I probably won't know anybody else on the team but it was worth the chance. Thanks Don
