By the way who is this ??? Cmon Don don't make it sound like the second coming !!!!ha ha.. even tho I did go 20-23 in Bullhead last week.. Thanx to Jeff Frye in Fla for calln and putn me in touch with the Collier County Senior Softball.. Also to my good friend Derek Gallagher here in Vegas for putn me in touch with Slugger from Milwaukee that plays in same league.. Sounds like I found my softball fix b4 I even get there.. Lookn forward to a new experience in senior softball.. I've met some great guys and woman(Marcia Sobriey)in my 8 yrs in Vegas.. Gonna miss every one of you guys... I know I'll be back every year for the World Masters.. Hopefully I'll get to see everyone.. |

Lookn to play senior tourn and league ball..I'm 62 but can play 50,55 or 60.. Pitch,SS,2nd or OF.. Base hitter with speed and some power.. Been playn the game for 40 yrs.. Livn in Vegas last 8 yrs and played with LVSSA.. I've played AAA ball but lookn to play major if possible.. I can play the game and help the team that picks me up.. Gonna play Spring Worlds in Mesquite NV with 50 AAA team called Lost Boys.. If %0 team needs me just let me know before I leave Vegas April 21 so I can ask for my release.. | Jan. 24, 2014 VINNY LV | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: You make the call part 643 the answer Paul gave is absolutely wrong.. being an ump myself ya hear these horror stories all the time about guys makn these calls.. texas & maddog are correct in their call.. that runner at 2nd is forced to go to 3rd and whether tagging him or touching 3rd he's out and run DOES NOT score.. stick I believe this rule holds true in all associations.. I'll have to dig out my U-Trip rule book.. |

Batter is out if he/she comes to bat with either of above instances.. Bubblegum- what states exactly, cause i know Nevada is one,so quit using them... :-) |

Thanx for the input on my question Stick.. Also I stand corrected on ruling this post is about.. Mike Baker called today and told me that he did allow runs to score.. Not theway I remember it but its over and done with.. Didn't affect the game and I now know how to call it.. Called a learning experience.. |

Seriously tho what if a batter comes into game and doesn't report and proceeds to get a hit.. now the catcher ask if that batter reported and is told by the ump that batter didn't report to him.. Is that batter out or just officially in the game ?? |

SSUSA and Huntsman are lookn for guys like yinz.. Also that 6th batter would bat in his spot.. Paul it's not the egos, it's just that they want the work from the get go.. It's not only Vegas where this is done.. Travelers get 1st preference in my experience.. Don't know why they think this way cause they have the expense of putting them up in rooms.. |

Like Mad Dog said " Corky would give ya the shirt off his back".. well in Spring worlds this year Corky did give me a windbreaker and a tossle cap to wear while umpiring cause it was so cold.. after games I went to give back and he told me to keep them.. At World Masters he got out his batting tee, bucket of balls and the new Triad and said lets go hit some balls.. Couldn't fnd a better ambassador to the game we all LOVE.. |
