I'm not an umpire but if the ball is alive, then the runner on second must make third and the runner on first must make second and the batter must make first. If a dead ball, then both runners would advance and the batter gets first.

ISA same situation, ball is dead, no qualification as to position of the fielders. Rule 7-1-g

SSUSA Rule 8.1 C-1 says runner is not out if in contact with base and ball is live. Says nothing about position or location of the fielders.

Discussion: Screen to protect the pitcher

I say he boycott screen maker. (ha ha) Actually I believe that under adverse conditions with sun and were safety is the paramount issue, a screen should be used provided both teams agree. Also the screen should be one of the small portable ones. The baseball screen has that low portion that takes up a lot of extra field space. Pitchers want to be part of the game however they don't want to be eating leather that they can't see coming at them. But it should not be a part of the usual game

Fla. Half century is the normal league tournament. Your team could enter and what division you would play in would be determined by the schedule maker. Four games within a bracket, played Saturday and Sunday only.

I don't think it will have much of effect. The teams that play in the Winter Nationals kinda consider themselves tournament teams and would play in the Winter Nationals instead of the regular 1/2 Century weekend. Last years Winter Nationals had at best 10 to 12 HC teams and I think most will be back
