Winter Worlds - Ft. Meyers 2008
I know that it is several months away, but I noticed that the Florida Half-Century league has a tournament the same weekend ( 11/15 and 11/16 at a different site) as the 2008 Winter Worlds in Ft. Meyers. I'm on a team from up North that had a great time in Ft. Meyers last year and was wondering if the HC tournament will detract from the number of teams in Florida that would normally want to participate in the WW in FT. Meyers ( two tournaments the same wekend)?????

I don't think it will have much of effect. The teams that play in the Winter Nationals kinda consider themselves tournament teams and would play in the Winter Nationals instead of the regular 1/2 Century weekend. Last years Winter Nationals had at best 10 to 12 HC teams and I think most will be back

We would like to play in either one of these. Which would be best?

Fla. Half century is the normal league tournament. Your team could enter and what division you would play in would be determined by the schedule maker. Four games within a bracket, played Saturday and Sunday only.
