dooker- does ed jones know about this move ?? you better clear it with him first before you make the move. he may punish you by cutting off the beer supply between now and your time to move. best of luck to you IF you really do make the move. frankie

CORKY had a little testing machine at kiest park in dallas 2weeks ago. he stuck the bats into a slot and turned a handle to tighten on the bat, this tested the compression ? on the bat. if the meter showed the bat in the red zone it was hot and ready to go. he tested brand new combats and they all tested in the red zone. some of the new mikens tested out of the red zone, indicating they needed more time to break in. i took 2 yellow combats( i new, 1 used) they tested hot. i had a new U-2, and a new gray miken with the red handle, both of these tested out of the red zone. he also tested for me a brand new 29 oz in the wrapper U-2 with the ASA / ISA stamps, this one also tested hot.

THEY ARE GOING TO BE TOUGH TO BEAT.

in your opinion, what is the best .44 x .375 ball around, as far as distance and not falling apart after a few hits. my " nite league " is using the badens, but we can use any ball as long as it meets the core/comp rating. thanks, your input would be appreciated.

LARRY- ANY AFTER EFFECTS like floaters after your recovery ? it feels like my eyeball is 3/4 full of water and slushes around when i move my head. i imagine the gas will dissapate as time goes by. i am finding it very difficult to lie on my stomach 15 min out of every hour, but i am doing my best because i must do so to make the recovery time faster. i imagine your eye is doing very well after your procedure, as you have no problem hitting the ball. thanks, frankie

doc and larry- really appreciate your responses. this laying down on my face for 15 minutes " every " hour is getting old . but needs to be done. the weird thing about the operated eye, is that it feels and looks like my eyeball is 3/4 full of water and slushes around when i walk around or tilt my head ( must be the gas ). the vision at this point is like looking thru a very muddy windshield and if i close my good eye, the operated eye makes blurry images look twice as big as they really are. i had cataract surgery done in jan. of this year, wonder if this contributed to this problem. LARRY- good luck in reno and hope to " SEE " ya down the road . DOC- may take you up on your offer if i have more questions. thanks to both of you.! frank, texas wildcatters 70's

had a retina detachment of my left eye this past saturday, started as a large black shadow on the outside of my left eye. unable to see a doctor until tuesday, operation was done same day, complete with a gas bubble. i am suppose to lay face down for 15 minutes every hour, and sleep on my left side due the procedure done the left eye. QUESTION : any of you boys gone thru this ? what was your experience and anything in particular that would have made your recovery time faster and easier. the main thing : did it work out okay, and got back normal vision, any effects in playing softball? doctor says not to run or play softball for about 4-6 weeks. would appreciate your experience. thanks !

DALLAS SPURS 60-AAA will be there. ended up in 4th place after the smoke cleared. we lost the first bracket game, won 7 games in a row in the loser's bracket, then we were knocked out by our compadres from austin TANEL 360. it was a fantastic tournament, . the weather wasnt too bad, 30's and 40's in the early mornng games. good luck to all teams attending.

there is a eye doctor in south florida that uses a laser to work on floaters are too annoying. name is SCOTT GELLER. I HAVE NEVER USED HIM, but if you are have problems and the floaters dont go away, maybe this doctor might be an option. it doesnt hurt to check his website. best of luck with your problem. www.vitreousfloaters.com
