Normally I refuse to feed the trolls, which is why I answered the trolls question before he asked it?
Yet he still comes on here and whines aout not having substantiation of the numbers I posted.
Why don't you ask Kevin, aka Tatooball? In case you didn't notice you are the only one who can't accept what is factual information. But of course you don't care one way or the other. For a stinking troll any attention is good attention.

the ball compression increases approximately 5 lbs for every degree under 72 and lessens 5 lbs for every degree above 72.

For the math challenged
44-375 @ 72 becomes 44-400 @ 67 degrees & 44-525 @ 42 degrees
44-285 @ 90 degrees

Discussion: Anyone else swing utrip bats?

Bruce, The Supermax bats have a full ounce end load. The Maxload bats have a half ounce which would be more like your Freak Plus. In my opinion you don't want the supermax bats for bp. The Worth Reload bats have a half ounce as well. My 28.5 Titan Reload feels very similar to my 29 EL Combat and thats what I swing in BP.

A little perspective on rolled vs shaved bats.
In the USSSA Conference the acceptable compression is 220 or above. A new Easton tests around 400. A Miken Ultra II around 180. It took very little time for the cheaters to figure out how to shave a bat to pass at 220 and be good to use for an entire tournament. Someone who ONLY ROLLS his bats had two Eastons fail at 160 and 146. Thats right only rolled and way exceeding an Ultra II. Yes a vast majority of players have rationalized that rolling is ok. This does not make it right. Personally I think that those who roll their bats should have to wear pink tutu's when they play because they sure as hell aren't men. Why is under 40 softball so filled with cheaters?
Because they were raised by little wussies that cheat in senior softball now. My God, good balls, great bats and you little girls still feel the need to cheat, pathetic.

I will not cheat, do not swing rolled or shaved bats or bats hit on a tree or any other illegitimate way to break them in or alter them.
The time has come to demand integrity in softball at every level.

I'm not sure who declared Ray Demarini the god of all softball knowledge, but you girls are free to keep swinging your little fast pitch bats and I'll keep winning every home run derby I enter. :)

Al33, I'm your size 6'2" 250 and I can definitely hit it further with a heavier bat. More suits my swing. The longest hrs I've ever hit have been with
a very end loaded 30 oz Vanadium, a 29 FL MM Gear 10", a 29 oz Freak Plus and a JH120 28.5. I'm easily 20' short with my 27.5 oz JH120 compared to the 28.5 and the other bats beat the 28.5. It is all about swing type and what works for you.

Here's one area I don't ever see mentioned in this discussion. When I cut the ball [backspin] a lighter bat tends to deflect off of the softball. The heavier bat drives through it better. Now, if you are the kind of hitter who likes to hit it square, the lighter bat might be your better option as it compresses the walls on a square hit instead of deflecting away. Make sense?

Having played in a league where excess home runs were singles......
I'll say this about that. It was without question the safest [for the pitcher]
league I've ever played in. To make it an out in all divisions is exactly the opposite of being safe. You really don't want the big guns hitting p-rods through the infield when a nice backspin fly ball for a single would do.
