Discussion: LV World Tournament Discussion

I believe the following should happen at EVERY SSUSA tournament:

1. Three seeding games and a true double elimination tournament. You know your times the first day and would give time to set the bracket. The bracket could be put on the web site and everyone would have access as to time of games and locations the night before the bracket games.
2. Rock or Fire used at every tournament.
3. 1 and 1 count (what everyone calls the 3-2) to start the at bat. Can get a true 7 inning game and keep the tournaments on time even with extra innings.
4. Player "must" play in one of the seeding games unless prior approval for "legitimate" reasons from tournament directors.

We are coming to Worlds in Vegas and want to hit the day before the tournament starts. We are staying at the Boulder Station and would like to know of somewhere to hit that is close and safe.

Discussion: Results

With todays technology, is it not possible to take a laptop to the tournament site, hook to the internet and update scores and results as they happen at the tournament site. Scores and updated results could be posted every couple of hours during the tournament. Would really make a much better system for all concerned to know immediately how the tournament was progressing. Come on SSUSA get with the technology age and keep everyone informed. Would also make it much easier on each of you to do it while sitting and watching the games.

Discussion: Combat Centenarian Senior Softball Bat. Fully Loaded - durability?

Had about 200 swings on mine when the end plug came out and been fighting that. It basically is useless right now because can't keep plug in. Was end load 27.

Discussion: Third Baseman

We are looking for a third baseman for 2012. We are a very competitive 55 Major team in Northern Cal that has been established for over 10 years. We usually play 8 to 10 Nor Cal tournaments and 3 to 4 larger including Rock N Reno, Cal Cup, Western World and Worlds. Don't care about power but need to have the glove. If you are looking to step up to major this is the team. No sponsor, split costs of intry fees.

Discussion: Seeding Criteria at Senior World Tournament

Wouldn't it be so much simpler to do a three game seeding format and then a true double elimination tournament. The seeding criteria would be the same as now but it would be much better to know that during the bracket you lose two and you are done. In three day tournaments you could play three on the first day if there were several teams or twon on the first and one on the second if there were not a large number of teams. Just makes more sense than getting beat the first two games of the bracket and then bouncing back to play other teams that lost two. Would make much more sense.

I have a red Combat, short barrel, 27 oz. with about 100 hits on it I bought last year from Anaconda. Have 3 Ultras that always come out of the bag first so have no need for it. Make offer and include $10 shipping in offer amount.

The $125 includes shipping so I will have to be firm on the price. I will be at Rock N Reno so if you pick it up there I will knock $10 off. Thanks
