Several months ago I lost faith in miken because of the short life span of my 3rd red end loaded Miken Ultra II. I bought the white Centenarian combat and was using it in tournaments. I talked to Alan Tanner at Team 1 Sports about a good back up bat. He suggested the new Miken II 2-piece end loaded. I was somewhat reluctant but based on his knowledge and experience, I bought the bat. Now the Combat is my BP and back up bat. Several weeks later I called Alan again because I wanted an ASA bat for a local senior league I play in. He again recommended Miken and suggested the new ASA end loaded bat. So, I bought it also. I couldn't be happier with the new 2-piece Ultra II and was very pleased with the "out of the wrapper" performance of the Miken ASA end loaded bat. Alan is now my new "softball Guru" best friend and has been added to my Christmas Card list! Thank you Alan for your advice and recommending I give Miken another chance.

I echo your comments about Allen's knowledge, also he and his family are just good people. I fell in love with his new Ambush bat, but since they are on back order he sent me a Miken two piece and it is doing a good job for me. Still like the Ambush better personal, guess everybody's swing is deferent. Hope this post gets me a discount of some kind. LOL

Great news Alan. There getting here just as softball is really heating up.
Do you think the formula for the bat will be the same as before? Hope they didn't change anything. Have seen on this board where performance changed from one batch to another on different brands.

I know there are a lot of Ambush fans. Unfortunately I had an Ambush and it cracked with 100 cuts or less. When I sent the bat back to Alan/Combat it was returned and they said it wasn't cracked. Twenty swings later the bat was totally busted.

Not a fan of the Ambush or Combat.

Miken would have replaced the bat and Combat should have.

Hi Steve! I also had an Ambush and just loved it. I think it had much more distance than my other senior bats. I used it in league and was going to swing it in the SSUSA Springnationls in Mobile. I usually swing my good bat a limited amount in bp, 5 or 10 times, after break in. I broke it before our first game in Mobile, right around 100 swings.
Alan said the new ones have more durability. I'll wait and see.

I heard today you injured your Achilles recently and would be out for a while. I hope this isn't the case.

Hope to see you in Marietta.
