Las Vegas 40+ World's
Being out of the softball loop for roughly 6 years or so I'm wondering how loaded the teams are for this tourney? We are getting our Beckwith Printing team back together out of Vegas. We have always played up and never had any issues with it, just wondering what to expect when we take the field. I'm sure once we get out there we will see many familiar faces. The little I have heard is it's a great tourney but be ready to play legit "B" or "A" teams. any info would be great, thanks.

40's is Very Tough, especially since you've been out for 6 years or so. The Game has Changed Significantly, so get ready for some Serious SHOCK & AWE ! ! !

Glad to hear you guys are going to play. Great team and group of guys. How many of the original guys are going to play?
As for the competition in the 40's, it's tough. Most of the guys playing are still playing kids ball so they are in great shape. Combine that with the fact they're swinging senior bats and there are some rockets being hit. Most pitchers are wearing face masks and some sort of shin guards, so come prepared. Bottom line is you'll have a blast. Hope to see you guys out there.

Hey Jeff, it's Guy Beckwith, how ya been? We are looking forward to the tourney and hopefully having some fun. I continue to hear about 40+ swinging senior bats, scary!!! Having not played in so long we are all getting in playing shape, easier said then done. Waiting on the director in AZ to include a 40+ division in September so we can qualify for the worlds. Thanks for the info and would love to catch up with you in AZ...be well buddy

Mr. Cochran, how are you sir? At this point we have our entire team with the exception of one guy, we just need to run him down. The boys are excited about taking the field again and we are hoping to play well. Not sure if we should play in the Major or AAA, I think the major plus is not for us at this point. Hope all is well, see ya soon...peace

Hey Guy. Great hearing from you. Talked to Scott Sharp last night and with the team you guys are bringing out I would jump right into Major as I believe in AAA home runs over the limit are outs in AAA but in Major only walks. With the bats you guys will have plenty of power and your defense will be solid as well. Playing in that tournament league will be a great warm-up.
