Discussion: Quality Softball Glove

I went on the NOKONA website and designed my own 14 inch glove and absolutely love it. Just a quality product and made in the USA. My last NOKONA lasted more than 25 years.

This is a terrible idea IMO. Think its a knee jerk reaction to Timberworks beating up the 65M guys while getting the extra fielder? Better idea would have been for Timberworks to have to to play by 65M rules any time they play down. Once again, only my opinion.

Hey Murray,
As I live in Las Vegas I have played on both for years and as the 60M was stuck at Shadow Rock for the SW Championships I have seen them recently. There was a time when the were decent but that time has long since past. I'll take BLD and a little bat control any day.
Dave, why don't you use City fields?
Lorenzi has two great fields still usable and Doc Romeo I believe 5 and both bet the hell out of Shadow Rock, Hollywood and Cheyenne.

Put them at Shadow Rock and Hollywood Dave and see how much they will then appreciate BLD.

Discussion: 60 MAJOR DIVISION FIELDS FOR VEGAS WORLDS

Hey SSUSA. Saw the field assignments for Vegas Worlds and have to ask, why does 60 Major draw the short straw again? Seems being stuck in Mesquite on the baseball field for Spring Worlds or Shadow Rock for SW Championships would rate 60 Major getting a decent complex for the Vegas Worlds. I mean, why screw the same division three times in a row.
Apparently that's not the case...........

Right now there is a mandate for masks indoors. Our Governor has stated he is not going to shut down again but then again he is a politician so you can't trust him.

I don't know the facts which is why I was asking. I play in the Lorenzi League from time to time and just never heard this mentioned. The referenced individual wouldn't have the authority IMO to ban any LVSSA member from participating in the Lorenzi League but obviously some people believe he does.
BTW: I have no worries about being embarrassed about anything I post on this site. If I was worried I would hide my true identity like so any others seem to do.................
Later Dave.

Hi Dave,
I'm a member of LVSSA and I didn't get the memo that said I would be kicked out of LVSSA by the former President if I worked the tournament. Can you email me a copy?
I'm curious as to how a FORMER President would have the authority to kick me out. I suppose I can give him a call and ask.

Hi Dave,
SSUSA tells us Hollywood has been remodeled and is an awesome complex. Not that I don't trust them but I think I'll drive up there and look myself while I am checking out the weeds at Shadow Rock.
Good Luck to you as well.

Thanks for the info Dave. Will SSUSA be making sure the weeds on the two fields we are using is at least mowed down and not knee high as usual or must we put all our faith in Clark County Parks and Recreation?

Dave,
Looking at the fields for 60 Major it shows Shadow Rock 1 & 2. I'm hoping these are the two turf fields and not the two grass fields, and calling the weeds in the outfield grass is a stretch, that are alway in horrible condition. If they aren't the turf fields what would be the reason for not using them?
Thanks

Dave,
Is a team allowed to set up a camera in centerfield, use a monitor in the dugout to monitor the camera and pass signals to the batter as to what pitch is coming by banging on a trash can with a bat ?
Asking for a friend who wishes to remain anonymous but his initials are Dbax.

Discussion: LVSSA/SSUSA SOUTHWEST CHAMPIONSHIPS 2019 TENTATIVE Field Assignments

Murray, you are the first player that I have ever heard iof that has asked to be moved from BLD to Shadow Rock which leads me to ask, have you ever played at Shadow Rock?
Unless they have done a major overhaul since last year the two grass fields are the worst fields to play on in Las Vegas. Both have knee deep weeds and clumps of grass. Not a good olace to play if you're an outfielder.
I think I would rather try and figure out how to keep the ball in the yard at BLD. Try using a league bat perhaps.
Just my 2 cents.
Good Luck.

Discussion: WHY NO LORENZI FOR SW CHAMPIONSHIPS

Hey Dave,
Unless I am reading it wrong, which is VERY possible, in looking at the field assignments I don't see Lorenzi being used for anyone but the 5 team 60 M+.
As it is one of the better complexes we have in Las Vegas why wouldn't more teams be playing there. We use it every week-end for LVSSA so it seems it should be available. Be nice to play there instead of the crappy fields at Shadow Rock or Cheyenne.
Thanks
