Oct. 20 George F. Ruh Men's 70 4 posts | Hmm, cards expire on 10 31 14 we play on 11 04 14, so I get message that card has expired even though it will still be 2014, then the $35.00 is only for two years? I thought it was in 5 year increments ? I have heard others complain that the organization is only in it for profit. I have always thought otherwise. I will be lucky to make two more years, but I will pay the $35.00 and hope. I have lifetime membership in other organization and I believe it was only $25.OO once I turned 70. And where is my super senior discount? LOL Hope I play better than I complain. |
Oct. 20 SSUSA Staff 3505 posts | George ... Player cards expire at the end of each tournament season, and the recently concluded 2104 season ended when your age group was finished at the LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships in Las Vegas ... You have the option to renew for up to five years, depending on your birth year ... You may not renew for years beyond the next five-year age group milestone you have ... For example, if you will be 63 in 2015, you may renew for either one ($20) or two ($35) years to get you to the 65 age group ... If you will be 60 during 2015, you may also elect to renew for three ($45), four ($55) or five ($60) years ... When you turn 75, you may get your Lifetime USA card for the one-time fee of $20 ... We hope you make it while playing at the highest level of competitive skill! |
Oct. 21 EG Fred Men's 65 17 posts | I don't comment very often but, it's a very interesting response SSUSA Staff. Just pulled out my card which expires this year and I need to renew. However, it doesn't state that it expires after the concluded tournament season! It states that it expires 12/31/2014. So, which is it? Your explanation or what is written in black and white (actually it's red ink) at the bottom of my card? My interpretation would be that I can play in any tournament prior to 12/31/2014, even if you say it's a 2015 tournament, with the card I have. Just my 2 cents. |
Oct. 21 SSUSA Staff 3505 posts | Our official interpretation is that the 12/31/14 expiration date player cards are valid for all 2014 Season events ending prior to that date ... The last such event was the LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships that concluded earlier this month ... For players participating in 2015 Season events, starting with the Winter Nationals in Ft. Myers and/or the Winter World's in Phoenix next month, players must have a valid player card that expires not sooner than the conclusion of the 2015 Season ... |
Oct. 21 tg69 393 posts | So does this mean that card will be good for the upcoming TOC which is 2014 championship?????????????????? |
Oct. 21 tg69 393 posts | I am re-reading this response and it says 02/06/14 |
Oct. 21 SSUSA Staff 3505 posts | Please re-read our response ... Here's what we wrote: "...Our official interpretation is that the 12/31/14 expiration date player cards are valid for all 2014 Season events ending prior to that date ... ... The TOC begins after 12/31/2014 (specifically, the clinics, skills competitions and mini-tourney begin on 02/04/15 with the TOC itself beginning on 02/06/15) ... Oooppps! ... Typo fixed! |
