Hector and Bruce thx for the feedback. I am trying not to hear it and as you say live with it. Bruce hope to see you this year on the field. Take care guys. Keep on stroking it.

I think from time to time everyone gets this. Get your ears professionally checked and cleaned, have your blood pressure checked, and determine how much salt you consume. After doing that there is a product now available over the counter at drug stores but I cannot remember the name. I've never tried it so I can't give a judgement on it. Chewing gum may offer relief. TMJ (Temporal mandibular joint dysfunction) can sometimes be a factor in tinnitus. So if you get a loud popping noise sometimes when you are opening your mouth or working your jaws you may want to get that checked. Good Luck.

My friends, just had TMJ surgery 3 weeks ago (broken cartilage, jaw popped out of socket a bit), unfortunately, my tinnitus is still with me. Doctor will not allow me to chew for 3 more weeks; have lost 8 pounds!

I also have it-over 40 db, they could not check higher-but I have learned to ignore it. I have hearing aids, but they are turned up so high for the bi lateral high frequency loss I have that I think it intensifies the tinnitus when I wear them a lot. I am meeting with the VA in March about it-former Marine. tb08-let me know how your appt goes.
