| Nov. 1, 2015 BruceinGa Men's 70 3233 posts | 2016 dates for World Masters Championship? We are trying to put together a schedule for 2016. Staff, any idea on the dates for the different age groups for the World Masters Championships? Thanks |
| Nov. 1, 2015 SSUSA Staff 3491 posts | The 2016 Season Master Tournament Schedule is currently under construction and is targeted for release with the next publication of Senior Softball News in mid-December ... The LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters 2016 will "generally" be in the same later-September/early-October window as it was this year ... Men's 65+ through 85+ will likely be returning to a four-day schedule from Monday through Thursday, September 26-29, 2016 ... The Friday-Sunday sessions on either side of that (September 23-25 and September 30-October 2) are currently undetermined as to who will play when, as is the timing of the Men's 40-Masters division ... As soon as determined, the dates and groups will be published here on the Tournament page, which will be sometime prior to the release of the 2016 Tournament Guide in the newspaper ... |

| Nov. 2, 2015 Turbo 34 Men's 50 47 posts | I would love to see the 50-55 age group play either October 7-9 or 14- 16. Most schools are on Fall Break during those dates and more families could attend. As a teacher it would prevent me from missing work. |

The "inclusive" dates for the 2016 World Masters WILL BE September 23-October 2, 2016, pending only when the 40-Masters may be fit in ... |

| Nov. 2, 2015 SSUSA Staff 3491 posts | Many participants welcomed the change to a five-game-guarantee over a three-day format for this year ... However, that change was not universally applauded with the luxury of 20-20 hindsight, including one message board poster who was in both camps! ... Next year will probably be the same five-game-guarantee played over four days to hopefully prevent some of the longer days and evening play ... |
