Yesterday at 4PM Jim Davis Sponsor of NCI Softball Club passed away. Mr. Davis was a complex man to say the least, hard guy to play ball for, but no one could ever doubt his desire to win. A loving Father, Husband and always a Marine. I will miss the old fart.
When I get memorial information I will post.

Thanks Mike for sharing the information about the passing of Jim Davis. For anyone that has stepped on the ball field in Southern California, the name Jim Davis and NCI resonated through all of the dugouts. He was a fierce competitor and did not accept second place. I enjoyed competing against his teams as he recruited some of the finest softball talent in the regions. Jim will always be remembered for raising senior softball to new heights in SoCal.

My condolences to the family and friends of Jim Davis. Although I never played for Jim or his NCI team, I did have the opportunity to chat with him years back, at which time he asked me how as an Asian I was so tall...quite a character he was, LoL.
As stated by Kevin Evans, he was a fierce competitor, generous with his guys, and doing the best he could to put his team in the position to win. I recall many times him calling timeout, walking out in full uniform, taking his pitcher out...not asking, just doing...always managing.
He'll be missed by many. RIP Jim.

Jim was a unique individual and he will be missed.
My condolences to the family of Jim Davis. I had the pleasure to play for him on NCI 55's team. Good man, spoke his mind, screamed and rooted at us with gusto. Though he was a bit harsh, that was the U.S.Marine spirit in him, with his desire to help us win.
R.I.P Mr. Jim Davis... UuuuRahhh!!!
