Release
Question: If a player is with a team and his team wins a TOC qualifier. Then gets his release to play on another team same age bracket and different level and they win a TOC qualifier, which team must they play with in TOC or is it the players choice?

Players choice, but NOT both teams in same age group. Different facts: If player is on two teams in separate age groups, he may play on both teams, but bears the timing effects of those teams potentially playing at the same times at different venues ... Congrats!

I know there are rules for this but how would that affect the team that they didn't play for in the TOC as far as replacing those players on the roster.

There is a "White Paper" on this available from the TOURNAMENTS ► RULES Page of this web site ... Document is called TOC Roster Considerations & Rules and managers for all potential TOC teams should become familiar with it ...

Thanks Staff, our manager said there were rules for this, I just didn't know where to find them in writing!

I thought a player was only allowed to change teams once during the year. After he got his release from the 1st team isn't he committed to the 2nd team now and wouldn't be able to be released again to play with another team (even if that was his first original team)?

MurrayW .. That would be the case in the current season, but the TOC is a "prior year" event ... If he got a valid release from Team #1 after they earned a TOC bid, then his new Team #2 also won one, he will be on both "qualifying rosters" and the election of which team to play with in the TOC is vested with the player ... He could theoretically be with "Team #3" in the following season, and he still has that option ...

Staff, If the player who was released goes from AAA to a Major team, at what point does the player attain Major status so that if he returns to an AAA team, he becomes one of 3 players eligible to play as a major on the AAA team. I tried to follow the player rating addendum on the rules page but...
